E' da molto che non scrivo, assorbita dalla mia attività di creatrice di accessori ho abbandonato per un bel po' il punto croce, ma torno... appena ho un attimo di tempo! Intanto ecco i regali scambiati alla pizza del PC-FVG, sono già volate 2 settimane dall'incontro ma il calore che mi lasciano ogni volta le mie amiche è impareggiabile.
Ecco qui le foto della tazza-pochette che ho fatto per Viviana e il quilt cucito per Gaya, i riquadri sono ricamati a punto croce dalle ragazze del PC-FVG, l'assemblaggio è opera mia.

While the Owl Gaya made is perfect, my Tilda is not coming out how I would like to... there are so many errors, and the face isn't fancy how it have to be. :-S

Patchwork Coffecup Pouch

This morning I was ispired by a very talented lady, Laurraine of Patchwork Pottery. After I saw her works I tried to make a Coffecup Pouch myself. I choose coffe instead of tea, since I am a coffe addict. I'm happy with the result, even if the closed zip is on the wrong side, but the next will be better.

Hallo, I was off line because I had a surgery the last week. I'm still recovering and can't stay sit on the pc for more than 20 minutes a day... fortunately I have a notebook and can take it on my sofà where I have to stay the major of the daytime.

The other month, I joined to the SeasonalSal owned by Nicki.
We all are supposed to start stitching on September 1st. My first choise for Autumn is stitching "Emily Bronte - Autumn Tree", as you can see below. I've just completed part of the house, tomorrow I will post a photo of my progress on it.

At the Pattern Gallery you will find 2 new designs, "Halloween Boo" and "Let it snow", I really like how them turned out, and I think that the Halloween ones will be the next on the seasonal sal.

Had a busy week: I made the decision to have another weblog where I'll only publish my designs, as some of you may have seen in a post before, I open a new Pattern Gallery with all the "Giusypatch Original Designs" into a new wordpress account. Here I will only show my wips and new project I'm currently done or finish, and when I will have a new chart pattern done, I will let you know and link to the new blog.
I also have open an Ebay Store to sell my chart directly. At the moment my best sellers is the "Love is where...(sheep are)".

A new start and floss storage

I've start stitching a new pattern from LHN, "Gourmet Garden".... Oh yes I know, I'm in retard with the SAL, but I couldn't resist to start this one!!

A little digression on floss storage... I usually track all the DMC cotton on a file, I do the same with specialty floss (crescent colours - Weeks Dye Works, Gentle Art) as well. Near all the skein# on the list, I put a letter or a number that means where a singol skein is stored.

And there is all the boxes, plastic bags and cabinet where I have them stored, marked with letters and number.

Thanks to Mary Kathryn I found the perfect way to organizing my wips. On the board you can see my latest wip, one is a free from LHN, and the other one is my own design "two are better". On the bord is also the next I'll going to start stitching, a CCN pattern, I'm waiting for the complimentary floss I've ordered on Stitching Bits and Bobs.

Qual'è la prima regola del punto croce? Conta una volta e poi riconta.... Bene, ho fatto una stupidaggine ed ora la pago. Non ho contato per niente i punti, ed ho iniziato il lavoro su un pezzo di tela, che dopo qualche ora di lavoro si è rivelato troppo piccolo per contenere il lavoro. :-(
Ed ora dovrò ricominciare da capo su un altra stoffa.... peccato perchè mi piaceva come veniva su questo colore.... Parlo di "Antico Amore", che su questa tela si fermerà qui, e dovrà trovare presto una nuova casa.... Ma ho imparato la lezione.

Quelle est la première règle du point croix ? Il compte autrefois et ensuite il recompte…. Bien, j'ai fait une chose stupide et maintenant le satisfait. Je n'ai pas compté nullement les points, et ai entamé le travail sur un morceau de toile, qui après quelque maintenant de travail s'est révélée trop petit pour contenir le travail. : - ( Ed maintenant je devrai recommencer de chef sur une autre toile…. péché parce qu'il me plaisait comme venait sur cette couleur…. Je parle « Antico Amore », que sur cette toile il s'arrêtera ici, et devra trouver vite une nouvelle mason.... Mais j'ai appris la leçon.

What's the first rule in cross stitching? It's counts once and then recounts…. Well, I have made a stupid mistake. I have not counted not at all the points, and have begun the embroidery on a piece, than after some hour of job it has been revealed too much small in order to contain the entire pattern. : - ( I will have to recommence from head on an other fabric…. It's a sin, because it appealed to to me as it came on this color…. I speak about “Antico Amore”, than on this fabric it will be stopped here, and it will have to find soon a new house…. But I have learned the lesson.

Giovedì è arrivato il pacco dello scambio dell'estate, organizzato dalla Souricette Grignoteuse, non potrò aprire la scatola fino al 21 del mese, come da regola imposta da Isa. :-) E' emozionante averlo li, passarci davanti e pensare: Che ci sarà dentro??!! La composizione è di:

- 2 matassine;
- 2 pezzi di tessuto 50x50 cm o 40 x 60 cm;
- 1 oggetto ricamato;
- 1 oggetto profumato;
- 1 dolce.

Intanto Grazie mille a Claudie che è colei che mi ha spedito il pacchetto!

Ho cominciato a ricamare il sampler Antico Amore Non so se perchè questo è un mio disegno, ma ad ogni punto mi sembra davvero di lanciare un filo tra me ed il passato ed è emozionante.

J'ai commencé à broder les sampler Antico Amore ne sais pas si parce que ceci est mien je dessine, mais à chaque point il me semble vraiment de lancer un fil entre et le passé et est émouvant.

Isa la Souricette, ha organizzato un'altro scambio. Siamo già in dirittura d'arrivo ed il termine massimo per la spedizione è il 18 giugno, in modo che ogni "Copinette" riesca ad aprire il proprio pacco al 21 Giugno.
Il mio è già pronto e domani partirà alla volta di..... non posso ancora svelare il mistero!

aujourd'hui j'ai fait des achats, et mon angle de la couture s'est enrichi de deux nouvelles pièces, un "cesto" et une "cassettiera" en Osiers… tres beaux !

Ed infine un anteprima del mio ultimo progetto, una pochette che all'interno sarà arricchita di porta forbici, porta aghi etc, intanto ecco l'esterno terminato.

Et enfin une avant-première de mien j'achève projette, des pochette qui à l'intérieur seront enrichies de porte des ciseaux, une porte aiguilles et cetera, entre temps voilà l'extérieur terminé.

Vi ricordate il berries della LHN che ho ricamato qualche tempo fa? Ecco fatto un bel cestino, la stoffa esterna è in seta e cotone e lavorata a crazy patch.

On vous rappellez du berries de LHN que j'ai brodé quelque temps fait ? Voilà fait une belle corbeille, la stoffa extérieure est en soie et coton et travaillés à crazy patch.

Antiques Sajou 1889

Mercoledì sono andata per mercatini, ho trovato queste due rarità del 1800. Un librettino Sajou del 1889 (quello con le lettere blu), e un altro sempre di fine secolo. Quando li ho visti sul banchetto non credevo ai miei occhi, sono tenuti perfettamente e gli alfabeti bellissimi. Non ho resistito e su tela hardanger ho iniziato a ricamare la lettera G dal libretto Sajou.

Mercredi je suis allée pour des brocante, ai trouvé ces deux raretés de 1800. Un livret Sajou de 1889 (celui avec les lettres bleues), et un autre toujours de fin siècle. Lorsque je les ai vus sur banquette ne croyais pas à mes yeux, ils sont tenus parfaitement et les alphabets tres beaux. Je n'ai pas resistit et sur toile hardanger j'ai entamé à broder la lettre G du livret Sajou.

Wednesdays have gone for flea markets, have found these two rarity of 1800. A Sajou booklet of the 1889 (that one with blue letters), and an other always of fine century. When I have seen them on the banquet I did not believe to my eyes, the booklets are held perfectly. I couldn't have resist and on hardanger fabric I have begun to embroider the letter G from the Sajou booklet.

E questo è il risultato... finito proprio ieri e adesso devo decidere cosa farne.

Et celui-ci est le résultat… fini juste hier et maintenant je dois décider qu'est-ce que en faire.

Questo invece è lo schema del watermelon di LHN. La foto l'ho scattata all'inizio, al momento manca solo il bordo, è ricamato un filo su un filo....

Celui-ci par contre est le schéma du watermelon de LHN. La photo je l'ai bondie au début, à l'instant manque à finir le bord, est brodé un fil sur un fil….

Ok, non li faccio di solito, ma alle 7 stranezze 7 non si può resistere... taggata da Viviana
e dopo averne lette alcune qui e la per il web ecco qua le mie... che più che stranezze sono difetti:

1.-. Sono gelosa all'estremo!! Mi faccio mille film e paranoie su dove, con chi, cosa, come, ha fatto il mio moroso.... ha ragione lui a volte a dirmi che questo lato del mio carattere è insopportabile... ma non ci posso fare nulla, quando mi parte il film.... magari quasi quasi mi trasformo in autrice di soap!

2.-. Non so mai decidere cosa è meglio. Davanti a 2 scelte, (e ce ne sono sempre due!!) non riesco a prendere una decisione ragionata.... e se si riesce d'impulso le faccio entrambe, prima una poi l'altra o tutte e due insieme. (compro le mele golden o smith? le scarpe viola o quelle gialle....quanti soldi buttati via perchè alla fine ho preso entrambe le cose!).

3.-. Comincio mille cose e ne finisco mezza.... ma ultimamente su questo punto sto migliorando... basta vedere i miei ricamini... almeno quelli!

4.-. Sono insicura alla follia.... tutti sono più bravi, più belli, più dotati, più interessanti di me.

5.-. Ho fatto una pazzia nel 2005. Mi sono tinta biondo platino ed ho fatto 7 mesi di decolorazioni! E oggi ne porto ancora i segni... Avevo una capigliatura folta folta e nera nera... ho perso un sacco di capelli e si sono tanto indeboliti... ma ora stanno pian pianino recuperandosi, con le cure però.

6.-. Sono una fifona.... domani sarei dovuta entrare in sala operatoria... ma per il terrore e per vedi punto 4 e 2, stamattina ho chiamato in clinica ed ho detto NO NO.

7.-. Vedi punto 3... nemmeno questo riesco a finire... non so che altra stranezza aggiungere... se non che Ho 33 anni e non ho ancora un figlio!!! E io ne vorrei tantiiiiiiiiii! Baci, Giusy

Questo pomeriggio ho fatto una passeggiata con papà al mercatino della domenica, e ho trovato queste due meraviglie che non potevo lasciare li. La scatola è canadese e risale agli anni '70, il portamonete, molto ben tenuto che sembra nuovo, mi è stato venduto dicendo che risale agli anni '40, ma di questo non sono certa, perchè altrimenti se così fosse deve esser stato conservato in cassaforte, tanto sembra nuovo. In ogni caso il piccolo punto è così bello che non ho resistito e l'ho fatto mio. Per finire la cena... Spigola al forno su un letto di patate, zucchine e scalogno! slurp. Baci

Cet après-midi j'ai fait une promenade avec papa au brocante de la dimanche, et ai trouvé ces deux étonnements que je ne pouvais pas les laisser. La boîte est canadien et remonte aux ans '70, le porte-monnaie, très bien tenu qu'il semble nouveau, été m'est vendue en disant qu'il remonte par ans '40, mais de ceci je ne suis pas certain, parce qu'autrement si ainsi il était doit avoir été conservé en coffre-fort, beaucoup semble nouveau. En tout cas le petit point est ainsi beau que je n'ai pas resister et je l'ai fait mien. Pour finir le dîner… Spigola au four sur un lit de pommes de terre, courgettes et scalogno! slurp. Bisous

The Box it's Canadian and it's dated around '70ies, the purse, it's perfectly held that it seems new, the lady that has sold it to me saying that laughed to years '40, but of this I'm not so sure, because otherwise if therefore it must be conserved in safe, cause it seems new. In any case the small point is therefore beautiful that I have not resist and I have made it mine. In order to end the supper… Spigola on a bed of potatoes, zucchini and scalogno! slurp. Kisses

PC FVG Meeting

In ritardo di una settimana, ma le foto devono essere viste. Domenica 6 maggio si è tenuto l'incontro con le amiche del PC_FVG. Questo gruppo l'ho visto nascere nel 2001, l'abbiamo fondato in poche, ma presto è cresciuto ed oggi siamo in tante! Per motivi personali dalla metà del 2004 fino a febbraio di quest'anno l'avevo abbandonato. Poi grazie a Gaya, sono rientrata ed è stato come tornare in famiglia. Le ragazze mi hanno fatta sentire come se non fossi mai stata via, ed anche con le nuove in pochissime ore si è creata una bella sintonia. Queste foto documentano il secondo incontro al quale ho partecipato da febbraio appunto, ed è stato un pomeriggio bellissimo soprattutto per la distribuzione dei regali!

Qui sopra i quilt con i ricami di Somebunny to Love confezionati per Marta che è diventata mamma di due splendidi gemelli!

Qui invece vediamo Gaya, che ha ricevuto il nostro regalo per la sua laurea! Siccome si è laureata in biologia con una tesi sugli stagni, tante ranocchie ricamate per lei!

Ed infine Ilaria! Che ha ricevuto la borsa patchowork, (ricamata!) anche lei per la Laurea!
Insomma abbiamo un sacco di dottoresse che ricamano :-))

Poi abbiamo ricevuto un regalino anche io e Susy dalla nostra Viviana, perchè entrambe abbiamo vinto indovinando dei "mistery questions" sul suo blog. (pardon, non ci sono le foto). Grazie Vivi!

Sono Felicissima! Oggi è arrivato il pacco dello scambio del I° Maggio al quale ho partecipato sul forum della Souricette. Grandioso! Ho aspettato un pochino più delle altre perchè per via delle Poste ci ha messo tanto ad arrivare, ma l'attesa mi ha ripagata! Oggi si conclude lo scambio organizzato da Isa La Souricette e siccome io non ho ancora ricevuto il mio pacchetto (ma so che è in viaggio da venerdì, xke la mia Copinette era in vacanza, non posso ancora mostrarvi cosa ho ricevuto, ma sono sicura che l'attesa mi ripagherà. Intanto, visto che oggi posso finalmente rivelarlo Vi mostro il regalo che ho spedito a Natalie, la copinette che Isa mi aveva assegnato. Spero di ricevere presto sue notizie e che il regalo le sia piaciuto.

Today the exchange organized by Isa La Souricette is concluded and even if I have not still received my package (but I know that it is on travel from friday, because my Copinette was in vacation, I cannot still show what I have received, but I'm sure that the wait will repay to me. Ed anche questo è finito. Come vedete ho modificato i colori ed anche il tetto della casa, non mi piaceva tutto squadrato e così l'ho reso un po' più morbido ed arrotondato.

Essendo la domenica per me giornata casalinga, spesso e volentieri non mi resta che questa giornata per pensare ai miei hobby. Stamattina sveglia presto e dopo le classiche pulizie ho pensato a qualcosa di bello e veloce... sto ancora pensando se farne un pinkeep oppure un scissor fobs... intanto ho scelto i fili DMC e la tela ed ho cominciato questo splendido schema della LHN, che fa parte della serie dei THREAD PACKS.

On Sunday, I usually like to stay at home, because this is the day I can do my hobbies. This morning I wake up early, and then the houseworking, I tought to something fast to stitch... I'm still thinking of how to finish the piece, if doing a pinkeep or a scissor fobs, meanwhile I choose the threads from DMC and the 32 ct. linen, and I've started stitching this beautiful chart from LHN, that is part of the Thread Pack's series.

1+1=1... choose 1 tin box and add a cross stitched piece, you'll have a lovely thing!

Sono molto soddisfatta del lavoro di oggi! Sia per come è venuto il ricamo, sia per la scatola che è venuta benissimo nonostante avevo una fifa tremenda di sbagliare qualcosa e rovinare sia il ricamo che la scatola dei biscotti Lazzaroni! Voi che ne dite?

I'm much satisfied of the work I've done today! It is for like it has come the embroidery, it is for the box it that it has come very well although I was scared to mistake something and to ruin is the embroidery that the box of Lazzaroni's cookies! What do you think?

Ho terminato il mio regalo per la "copinette" francese per lo scambio del 1°maggio.
Per il mese di Aprile ho in programma di:

- finire il ricamo free Alphabet Tree della Blue Ribbon Designs;
- iniziare e terminare il SAL di Marise, con i cottage di marzo e aprile;
- trovare uno schema delle dimensioni adatte a forma di cuore per rivestire la scatola dei cioccolatini lindt.
- qualche altra cosina veloce da realizzare, voglio provare a fare un pinkeep :-)

Qualche settimana fa ho visto delle scatole di latta rivestite.... questa è l'unica che ho trovato, tonda, ma è venuta carina lo stesso. :-)

ed il ricamo finito ieri è diventato un cuscinetto, che ha preso posto insieme agli altri sulla mensola dietro il divano.... la collezione di mini pillow aumenta!

Questa è una mia creatura, ha molto valore per me... l'antico cavaliere è stato creato in onore a mia nonna, che amava ricamare i carretti siciliani, infatti il cavallo sembra più un ciuco, tanto è semplice. Ma sappiamo che le cose semplici a volte hanno più valore di quelle complicate. Questo schema è un omaggio alla mia nonna ed alla cavalleria che non esiste più.

Celle-ci est ma créature, a beaucoup de valeur pour moi… l'ancien cavalier a été créé en honneur à ma m3mé, qui aimait broder les carretti siciliens, en effet le cheval semble plus un ciuco, beaucoup est simple. Mais nous savons que les choses simples parfois ont plus de valeur que ces compliquées. Ce schéma est un hommage à ma m3mé et à cavalerie qui n'existe plus.

This is one my creature, has much value for me… the ancient knight has been created in honor my grandmother, that he loved to embroider the carts sicialian, in fact the horse seems a ciuco more, a lot is simple. Sono passati già 23 giorni dall'ultimo post! Ho avuto tanto da fare e qualche preoccupazione, quindi niente tempo di scrivere... Però ho anche ricamato un pochino, è arrivato il libro che ho ordinato da Amazon Fr, "Cartonnage Brodé"

Da oggi questo blog sarà in doppia lingua, italiano, la mia ed inglese per le amiche straniere. Questa settimana è volata davvero, non ho ricamato quasi nulla, a parte la busta che vedete nel post di mercoledì. Ho però letto i blog, mi sono iscritta al ring "Au fil de nos reves" e ieri ho trovato una rivista mensile di punto croce scaricabile on line in formato pdf, basta registrarsi, pagare l'abbonamento annuale ed il gioco è fatto. Gli schemi mi sembrano carini, così ho pagato i miei 15 dollari e scaricato il nr. di marzo attualmente on line. From today this blog will be in double language, Italian, and English for the foreign friends. This week is really flown away, I have not embroidered nearly null, less than the envelope that you see in the post of Wednesday. But I was busy to reading the blogs here and there, I joined to the ring “Au fil de nos reves” and yesterday I have found a online cross stich magazine in pdf format, it's easy to subscribe, just pay the subscription (I choose the 1 year option) and the game is made. The cover issue I see seems pretty to me, therefore I have paid 15 dollars and downloaded the nr. of March currently on line. Ufo's and Round Robin

Here are some of the works that are closed in the drawer from much time. The butterflies is the result of a round robin done with my cross stitch group, the others is UFOs, than sooner or later I'll have to decide to continue to stitch!

this is a pattern that my grandmother gave me 12 years ago. I'll have to finish this.... it's a tribute to her, than died before I finish it.

2 weeks ago I have a meeting with my cross stitch friends... so in the middle of chat-chat-chat, I listen something strange to me.... SAL... what's sal I asked to Viv.... She said me: it's so popular on cross stitch blog at the moment, did you ever know about French cross stitcher? They works are so intimidating, but at the same moment are irresistable... You have only to join a SAL that usually begins in january and go on this way stitching until december, and share the same pattern and post your progress with other stitcher.... - My god, I'm finally into it, and I'm doing the one Maryse made on her blog.
